DIYguru, India’s Electric Mobility upskilling platform on Thursday launched its placement assured E-Mobility course for students and professionals of Engineering & Diploma background. The course will be of six months’ duration with faculties from Electric Vehicle companies and professors from premier institutes. The classes will be a mix of online recorded and live lectures to be delivered to students on weekends. The platform has launched it’s E-Mobility program back in 2016 with Vecmocon, based out of IIT Delhi, and has since then served more than 50,000 students and professionals from Hyundai, Bosch, and Maruti Suzuki placing more than 80% of it’s students in the rising EV market. It has recently been accredited as the official partner of ISRO in the implementation of Online Courses in Space Remote Sensing Satellite in India.

Looking into the global skill development market in high end technologies, the opportunity for platform like DIYguru is huge and is targeting to tap into the international market with it’s offering in Aerospace, 3D Printing, IoT and Satellite courses in the near future. One of the sources from the company said via email.

The government had initiated the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan in the year 2013 with an objective to put 6-7 million electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2020 and committing to achieve 30% e-mobility in the country by 2030.

To achieve this goal India will need to create a skilled and trained workforce which has an expertise in design and testing, battery manufacturing and management, sales, services and infrastructure of electric vehicles.
